Advanced Treatment Features

NSF 350

The National Sanitation Foundation categorizes onsite wastewater systems in three categories: NSF 40, NSF 245, and NSF 350. With an NSF 350 certification, you’re getting the absolute cleanest effluent available on the market.

Non-Potable Reuse

Society isn’t ready for onsite “toilet to tap” quite yet, and neither are we. But, reusing treated water for landscape irrigation or toilet flushing can be vital for property owners, especially in arid climates we serve like the American Southwest.

Low Maintenance

We recommend you inspect your treatment unit and septic tanks annually while getting your precast concrete tanks pumped every 3-5 years. If you do this, your septic system will last for over 30 years.

How Advanced Treatment Works

Is a Simple Septic Tank Enough for the Environment?

Wastewater

If you have a septic tank, that means your wastewater is discharged onsite, as in on your property. Sure, a septic tank captures large solids, but it lets microscopic killers like bacteria, nitrogen, and more discharge into Mother Earth which ultimately damages our ecosystem.

Groundwater

After nontreated effluent (wastewater) is discharged onsite, it ultimately enters and pollutes our groundwater. Humans, wildlife, and our environment rely on aquifers refilled by groundwater. So, it’s in everyone’s best interest to keep it clean, even if it is just a small site.

Water

Pure clean water. That’s the ultimate goal. To keep our water, whether coastal or inland, urban or rural, clean and pure.

Where is Advanced Treatment Recommended?

Coastal

Got a house by the ocean? How about a mountainside lake? Then odds are your community is a septic community. If the groundwater near your precious body of water gets polluted, it can wreak havoc on the surface. Low oxygen, algae blooms, bacteria, and more are bad for the ecosystem.

Rural

Many rural communities in the United States rely on septic tanks to enjoy their remote and outdoor lifestyle. With advanced treatment, that outdoor lifestyle remains beautiful while keeping the ecosystem clean for foliage and wildlife. Plus, many rural communities rely on well water which they source from groundwater.

Commercial

Do you need to treat more than just a single-family home? Apartment complexes, schools, campgrounds, or any place expecting a higher volume of toilet flushing can still install advanced treatment systems. We just simply add more tanks to the treatment train.

NSF 350 Certified

Rigorous Process

To achieve NSF 350 certification, our product had to go through 26 weeks of continuous third party testing during which system maintenance or process adjustments are not allowed.

Landscape Irrigation

An NSF 350 certification allows you to reuse non potable water above the surface for irrigation. This can be huge for businesses trying to save money in the long run.

Toilet Water

Each flush adds up, especially for commercial operations where volume of effluent will be much higher than a single-family home.
