X Marks the Spot in Otter Creek
OTTER CREEK RESERVOIR, UTAH
PROJECT DETAILS
Owner: Otter Creek Culverts | Contractor: Carlisle Excavating | Project Scope: Box Culvert
Some treasure maps use riddles and step counts; others use a dotted line with an “X” marking the spot. With this box culvert delivered to the Otter Creek Reservoir in Utah, it’s safe to say that Jensen Infrastructure is breaking into the pirate market. Designed for high water flows, this culvert focused on making sure water would not be able to flood the roads and cause traffic issues around the area. Partnering with Carlisle Excavating, Jensen Infrastructure cast and delivered this 18’ x 24’ x 6’ animal from the Jensen Phoenix plant for installation. Complete with headwalls at the top slabs for the mouth openings, this culvert comes set with four 10’ long wing pieces set on a bias at each corner of the culvert, creating an “X” look from the top down. For Jensen, “X” truly marks the spot for this hidden treasure at the Otter Creek Reservoir.
“This project really showed some of the large, complex structures that Jensen has the capability to produce, especially with the headwalls and wing walls on this design. Utah is not a typical territory that we focus on, but we were able to service the customer outside of our market.”
