Pump System Thrives with StormVault Modularity

DANVILLE, CALIFORNIA

PROJECT DETAILS
Owner:
Trumark Homes | Architect/Engineer: MacKay and Somps Civil Engineers | Contractor: Sanco Pipelines

Entrenched at one of Danville, California’s new townhome properties, a 240’ long and 7’ wide StormVault detention system proved itself as the solution that Trumark Homes needed. In collaboration with MacKay and Somps Civil Engineers and Sanco Pipelines, Jensen Infrastructure manufactured and delivered the new StormVault to custom fit the only space it could. Since the project could only exist in a small space, the StormVault system was engineered to have the smallest footprint it could. This included an integrated pump system inside the reservoir rather than placing the pump outside of the vault which is common. Without the integrated pump, the project would have created a spacing issue. The pump, outfitted to move 247 gallons of water per minute, is set in the center of the concrete structure and moves water into a bioretention layer above the system. The StormVault was manufactured by Jensen Lockeford and delivered to the site ready for installation.
