Culvert Installation Allows Free Flow for Stormwater
ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA
PROJECT DETAILS
Owner: Placer Vineyards Village | Contractor: R&R Pacific Construction
Stormwater runoff creates logistical nightmares during the wet months. Especially if heavy rain falls while the ground is still dry. The solution is a double-barreled concrete culvert system tunneled under the road, creating a symbiotic relationship between culvert and creek. Collaborating with R&R Pacific Construction, Jensen designed, manufactured, and delivered culvert pieces to the Placer Vineyards Village in Roseville, California. 40 4’W x 8’H culvert was developed at Jensen Lockeford and shipped to the install site in Roseville. The twin tunnel systems measured 167’ each in length and were laid below what would be Placer Creek Drive to allow the runoff to cross to a wetland area located on the other side of the road.
