The National Precast Concrete Association has awarded the Jensen Precast Lockeford Branch with a 2020 Platinum Safety Award, the highest recognition presented by the organization for safety achievement. The Lockeford plant has clocked more than 120,000 hours without a recordable accident as defined by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
“We are honored to be receiving such an important award and grateful for the recognition from the NPCA,” says Bryant Torres, Jensen Precast Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for Northern California. “Earning this award would not have been possible without the work of everyone at the Lockeford Branch stepping up to reach this accomplishment.”
Participation in the NPCA Safety Awards program affirms an ongoing commitment to creating a strong culture of safety throughout a precast concrete plant, including employee safety training and adherences to safe production practices.
“This award is a testament to the whole team approach in Lockeford,” says Jillian Welch, General Manager of Jensen Precast Northern California. “I know our workers there are always focusing on the little things to ensure the big goals can be achieved. This NPCA recognition is a perfect example of coming together, supporting one another, and doing what needs to be done to reach a big goal. Congratulations to the Lockeford team.”
NPCA 2020 Safety Award Winners will be recognized during The Precast Show in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 20-22, 2021.
