Through our Community Engagement program, Jensen Precast contributes time, resources and financial support to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. This week we wanted to feature this amazing local charitable organization, for all they do, keeping our Northern Nevada communities fed and solving hunger wherever possible. Their Mission: FEEDING THE HUNGRY TODAY AND SOLVING HUNGER FOR TOMORROW THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP. Jensen Precast employees care about giving back to their communities.Over the weekend, several members from the Fontana Branch participated in City of Hope’s Walk for Hope fundraiser in Los Angeles, California, along with families and friends. The annual event aims to fund groundbreaking research in the fight against women’s cancer. Team Fontana raised over $1,900 to aid in that worthy goal.

Tourism is Hawaii’s largest industry, and if the state doesn’t address half of its 88,000 cesspools, drinking water and swimming areas could be contaminated. Luckily, Jensen Precast’s NPCA-certified plant in Kapolei has the precast solution. Due to the leaking effluent from these aging cesspools, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a mandate to close and replace all large-capacity cesspools with an alternative wastewater system. Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources contacted a private consulting firm to design new septic systems for all beach parks and facilities with large-capacity cesspools on all islands. <<Read More>>

The Jensen Precast Las Vegas Team has done it again:  by working with the American Red Cross, our Las Vegas Branch has run two Blood Drives this year, both quite successful thanks to the dedication and hard work our Team members provided. On September 28, the American Red Cross “Bloodmobile” parked at 3853 Losee Road in Las Vegas, equipped with everything necessary for a blood donation procedure. Fontana Branch Bids Goodbye to Exploding Manholes

Exploding manholes may not sound like a regular occurrence, but they happen more often than many people may realize, posing a huge safety threat and triggering power outages. In the first half of 2018 alone, multiple explosions took place in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and California. Prior to that two separate incidents in 2015 left 35,000 Long Beach, California residents without power for several hours, prompting Southern California Edison (SCE) to launch a retrofit project, which began this year.
