Jensen precast concrete eccentric cones transition the manhole from barrel diameter to the smaller opening at grade, with the opening offset to one side. That offset keeps one interior wall flat, providing a consistent surface for steps and safe ladder access through the cone.
Eccentric cones are the most commonly specified cone configuration for sanitary sewer and storm drain manholes that require interior step access through the transition.
