About the Project

At the intersection of Ford Avenue and Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas, a new multifamily project brought with it a familiar challenge: how to handle the wastewater situation.

With site conditions limiting a direct connection to the municipal system, an alternative solution was required. Jensen provided a packaged pump station to collect, manage, and move all wastewater off-site.

Moving Wastewater with Lift Station

The system needed to keep wastewater moving, with minimal retention time to maintain performance and prevent stagnant conditions.

It also had to operate reliably in a residential setting, handle daily demand, and stand up to parking lot traffic conditions.

A Duplex System Designed to Keep Flow Moving

A duplex pump station was installed to manage all wastewater from the site. The system features a 120” diameter wet well standing just over 23’ tall, designed to handle flows up to 1,305 gallons per minute and equipped with non-clog pumps.

All site wastewater is routed through the pump station, where it is collected briefly and pumped out on a regular cycle. The duplex configuration supports consistent operation during varying demand.

In addition to the pump station, a precast valve vault was provided to house system valves and controls. Designed for parking lot H-20 loading, the system delivers long-term durability for an active residential environment.
